Kajetanowicz and Szczepaniak begin the competition in Rally Italia Sardegna – round eight of the 2019 World Rally Championship. The LOTOS Rally Team crew will tackle the stages in a new rally car for them, Skoda Fabia R5.

According to their plans for this season, Kajetan Kajetanowicz and Maciej Szczepaniak enter another World Rally Championship round. Rally Italia Sardegna marks their third outing in this year’s WRC campaign.

– This is already confirmed. We are back on the WRC stages and continue with our scheduled plan. Due to circumstances which were beyond our control, we had to take an important decision and change our rally car. This decision is well-considered and comes as a result of thorough analysis of plenty of data: including official information from the manufacturer and recommendations of our tuner. It is also dictated by safety reasons. We want to complete this rally and bring more excitement to our fans. Pace and pressure in the World Rally Championship reach immense levels, and we need to know how to cope with them. We go to Sardinia with positive approach, aware of challenges which await us

– said Kajetan Kajetanowicz, triple European Rally Champion.

Kajetan and his team are already on their way to Sardinia. The shakedown takes place on Thursday. The LOTOS Rally Team begin the competition with spectacular night stage – SS1 Ittiri Arena Show (2.0 kms). On Friday there are four stages, each of them run twice: Tula (22.25 kms, at 8:03 and 14:42 CET), Castelsardo (14.72 kms, at 9:20 and 15:59 CET), Tergu-Osilo (14.14 kms, at 10:09 and 16:48 CET) and Monte Baranta (10.99 kms, at 11:18 and 17:57 CET).

On Saturday the crew will tackle another three stages, also in two loops: Coiluna-Loelle (14.97 kms, at 8:08 and 16:08 CET), Monti di Ala (28.21 kms, at 9:11 and 17:11 CET) and Monte Lerno (28.02 kms, at 10:03 and 18:03 CET).
