Kajetan Kajetanowicz – rally driver, European Rally Champion (2015) and four-time Polish Rally Champion (2010-2013). Born on 5 March 1979 in Cieszyn, Poland.

Kajetan won the European Rally Championship title in 2015. The road to the most important success in his career started with comfortable victory in Jännerrallye, in which he literally crushed his rivals. One month later he scored important points in another winter rally, in Latvia – where he showed impressive pace. In his first outing in Circuit of Ireland Rally he finished in second place, right behind the winner – Irish driver Craig Breen. In May he successfully made his way to the podium in extremely tough Rallye Açores. Impressive second place in his debut in extremely fast gravel rally in Estonia was an important step on his way towards the title. The second half of the season started with third place in Barum Rally – only local, Czech crews finished in front of him in the strongest field of the whole season. In the final two rounds he knocked down the opposition on twisty stages in Cyprus and sealed the FIA European Rally Championship title with impressive performance and victory in legendary Acropolis Rally. The LOTOS Rally Team crew achieved the greatest success in their career with style and pace which thrilled the fans and observers from all over the world. Kajetanowicz and Baran, driving a Ford Fiesta R5 prepared by the Polish division of M-Sport, impressed with their efficiency: the Polish crew scored points in every round they contested, finishing seven round out of eight in top three and winning three events: Jännerrallye, Cyprus Rally and Acropolis Rally. On top of that Kajetanowicz and Baran followed the footsteps of just two other Polish drivers who won the European Rally Championship titles. The lifetime success of Kajetanowicz follows the championship titles of Sobiesław Zasada (three-time European Rally Champion in the 60s and 70s) and Krzysztof Hołowczyc (European Rally Champion in 1997). 2015 season Kajetanowicz finished with impressive performance in Barborka Rally – prestigeous Polish season-ending event. Not only Kajetanowicz took his third win in this Warsaw-based rally, but he was the fastest in Competition of Aces, run on twisty and extremely slippery Karowa street. It was Kajto’s fourth victory on this legendary Polish stage.

In 2014 Kajetanowicz competed in the FIA European Rally Championship. The LOTOS Rally Team crew scored 100 points in eight outings in this prestigious series, claiming fourth place in overall standings. Kajetanowicz contested seven out of eight FIA ERC rounds for the first time. However, Polish driver confirmed his abilities in rallies which were completely new to him: he won 13 special stages, recorded 41 top-three stage times and scored two podiums. After his performance in Cyprus Rally, he received Colin McRae Flat Out Trophy, awarded for outstanding pace and fighting spirit. Moreover, Kajetanowicz claimed the FIA ERC Gravel Master title, for the best stage results in gravel rallies.

In 2010-2013 seasons Kajetanowicz scored four consecutive Polish Rally Champion titles. In 2013 LOTOS Rally Team driver won every round of the LOTOS Polish Rally Championship in which he took part: Świdnicki, Karkonoski, Wisła and Rzeszowski Rallies, Lithuanian round of the championship – Ralis Kauno Ruduo – and Rally Poland, counting towards the FIA European Rally Championship. Kajetanowicz finished the 2013 season with victory in Barbórka Rally and the legendary superspecial stage on Karowa Street in the centre of Warsaw. He won Rally Poland twice in a row – in 2010 and 2011 – being the first Polish driver to achieve this feat in almost 90 years’ history of this event. He repeated this success in 2013, winning the most prestigious rally in his homeland for the third time and receiving his first Colin McRae Flat Out Trophy.
Earlier, back in 2008, Kajetan claimed runner-up spot in the overall classification of the Polish Rally Championship and won the Group N title. Just two years later he racked up his first Polish Rally Championship title in overall classification, adding further three titles over the course of the next three seasons. The FIA European Rally Championship title and four consecutive Polish Rally Championship titles mean that Kajetanowicz is the most successful Polish rally driver of current generation.

Kajetan Kajetanowicz is an experienced high performance driving instructor. He also promotes road safety and improvement of driving techniques.
